We’ve heard quite a bit about the Galaxy S8, but considering there are two models, both of them will have curved screens, we don’t know exactly what Samsung is planning about the name. At least, we don’t have a logo leaked online.

The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S7 both launched with Edge parts, but since all of the Galaxy S8 models will adopt a curved display, Samsung needs something different to Distinction the smaller and larger device . If you guessed they’d go with “Galaxy S8 Plus,” you nailed it. Not really a shocker, but hey, confirmation is nice.

When a manufacturer launches a slightly larger version of their smartphone, they tend to slap Plus on the end of the name and call it a day. It’s not flashy, but it works, and at this point most consumers know that means one version is bigger than the other.

We still have a few weeks until Samsung makes all of this official, but Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ sound like a pretty safe bet to me.  I’m more curious about what the Galaxy Note 8 will be called.
